Do attic fans really cool a house?
Im thinking of buying the attic fan solar energy as Costco is to save on AC, but really need to know if they make a big difference (or solar electric). It costs $ 369 so I need whether it's worth the cat. Thank you
You will not see the difference your self. But will your CA. It will take some strain off of it. If your attic is Heat the oven temp is at your ceiling. If you have ceiling fans you push in the back room making it near your thermostat. Effect your AC working. If you get the heat from the attic, your CA will be able to cut more frequently reducing your cooling bills, and repair bills on the sector. Place a thermometer in your attic and read it on a hot day. The weather is usually around 130 degrees. Now, turn on the attic fan and return in about an hour. You will notice a change. It can be 80 in the attic now, but it will certainly cost more.
