How long till the "Solar Revolution"?
"Solar power has been expensive, but soon is expected to drop to as low as 3.5 cents/kW-h. Once the silicon shortage is remedied through artificial silicon, a solar energy revolution is expected. "

It's starting right now. Solar power is finally hitting the price point where the average family can afford to install it. With a bit of leadership we could upgrade our electric grid to a allow for widescale use of it. As more people install it, there's more incentive to build a storage system (compressed air, hydrogen, etc.).
"Solar is a waste of space"? I dunno about you, but I see thousands of roofs across the country that are used by no one but pigeons.
"Ugly"? As ugly as the coal power plant downtown?
