What will be a solar panel should be to produce about 9 volts?

I am a GCSE mail and from the theme this year is all "Green" theme, I think trying to do my project on solar energy. I need the panel to provide at least 9 volts (a baterry PP3) to power my circuit. So if I decide to make solar energy will store electricity made or intend that the power circuit when the sun is shining available? I tried again with my 4-volt circuit and it worked too, if someone can give me the measurements (approximately) on what size it should be. Thank you

The output voltage of a single silicon solar cell is about 0.5 V to 0.6 V, To provide higher voltage you need more cells in series to produce the desired output. A solar cell commercially available may already configured this way. A solar cell does not provide any current when it is lit, it does not store electricity. However, you can use a bank of solar cells to keep a battery charged. The battery will provide the current required when the intensity of light is insufficient to power your circuit. You would need to use a solar cell with the current average for a day and the night time is above average currently requires that your system during this period to keep the battery charged. The physical size of solar panel you need depends on your current circuit and the voltage required. Without this information it is not possible to tell the size of your solar cells should be. low current devices (like calculators) can be supplied from solar cells only a few square centimeters of surface only, you should spend some time on the design of your circuit to use as little energy as possible. This will significantly reduce the size (and cost) of the solar cell you need. As mentioned in another response, it is possible to buy solar garden lights and motorized cannibalize factor as cheap solar cells and batteries.
