when using the "grid-tied" method of solar energy, what happens during a blackout of the electric company?
I'm thinking of having solar panels on my house. one of the methods for doing this is the grid connected method, in which solar energy is used to work against the electricity meter. In any case, my question is, if a power outage due to the electric company, because I still have solar panels, will my power out this way?
My understanding of this method is that your power panels to your home and excess power company. So I guess it depends on the size of your system for sustainability.
