Is there an equation to determine how many solar panels will need U?

I was doing some research and was curious if there was an equation I can use to find out how solar panels I need. I do not know much about solar energy from bases to be good. I fell a question asking how much energy a solar panel solar crop every year and they came with W 1000000000 Is this correct? Im looking I may use an equation to calculate how much I need? Like My computer uses a 550W power supply. Is that 550W one hour? If so I left on 24 hours a day for 365 days a year that I try to use 4.818 million this way, evil?

Watts are a unit of power. A 550W power supply can deliver a maximum 550 watts to your computer parts in total. The computer can use less. If it was using 500 watts for one hour, it would 500 watt hours of energy. A typical house might use 20,000 hours watts per day (20 kWh). Your car can use the same, if it is electric. 1 gigawatt (1,000,000,000 watts) is that the local nuclear power plant can produce. It is a little less than 10% of Southeast Michigan uses. It seems that the Earth takes 11 or 12 terawatt (12,000,000,000,000). The sun produces about 750 watts per square meter. Suppose they are 10% efficient at converting sunlight electrical energy. Assume they run half the day. So 12E12 watts * (1 / 750 watts / m ^ 2) * 10 * 2 = 320 billion meters squares. It is a square only 565.685 km on a side. Park in a desert somewhere and you're fine. You can reduce the surface making cells more effectively. A house with 20 kWh needs 20000/750 * 10 * 2 = 533 square meters. It may be 23 square meters. This is bigger than my house. However, using passive solar heating instead of electricity, we can improve the efficiency a large amount. By improving the insulation, we have reduced the power requirements other. By using better (more expensive) solar cells, we can reduce the area required. And it can be done almost on the roof of the house. It would help to live in the desert. For the moment anyway. Use is expanding. You must distribute this area on the ground so that some of them are still in full sun. You need to run cables everywhere so everyone power everywhere. Otherwise, you have to store energy for use at night. Who knows? Perhaps it is less expensive to store and have less grids. There are also costs. the money solar cells. And they do not last forever. When you finish building this, you need to start replacing. A recent talk show Quirks and Quarks of energy. This is a Canadian program founded but it may give you some advice in a friendly manner.
