How many solar panels would I need to power my house?
or how many watts? Do I use a lot of electricity. I have a couple of lights and a computer, sometimes the tv. How many solar panels would be what it takes to power those constant throughout the day, and perhaps to charge the batteries at night? air, refrigerator and water heater I would still use electricity regular.
Solar panels produce DC electricity, AC no. Thus, they would have to charge a battery bank, then you will need an inverter to convert DC into AC. You must find what is your peak power (consumption) and how long you want to run things and work backwards from there. Suffice it to say, a roof full of panels will probably not be enough.
