Solar wind /.?
Has anyone installed solar panels / wind tubine on the roof of their house yet. My utility bills public rose again, and I think making the jump. I was wondering how the power of these systems can provide an alterative, language (all the mans: - tea, TV / computer, dryer, washing machine, heating??) or is it just a few light bulbs once a week? Can you make a profit by selling electricity to the grid? Any coments would be greatly apprieciated positive.
This grid-tie and not the grid-tie systems based what you want to install. A grid-connected system is tapped into power lines and feeds your unused power to the electricity company local for a credit balance on your electric bill. A grid system is not unrelated to sell your unused energy to the company electricity, but is rather a closed system for your own use. In this type of system you want the storage capacity not to waste additional energy captured. The most efficient solar panels on the market is over 17% efficiency in capturing energy, but new cells have just been invented that are up to 43% efficiency (which means you can use less of them to be equally effective, as little cumbersome). Grid-connected systems usually cost you $ 20k + in non-network related systems would cost less to install. Your savings may vary depending on the number of panels you install versus the amount of energy you consume, so it is difficult to estimate your monthly savings. Typical grid-connected systems witihin, your electricity bill will be less $ 10 per month and you should be able to power everything in your house (dryers, washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioning / heating, etc.).
