If you have the LED specification, this handy calculator can give you a good estimate.

For example, if the beam angle is 45 degrees, the 15,000 mcd LED will illuminate that solid angle to about 7 lumens. 10 of those LEDs will give 70 lumens, which is like a 5W night-light light bulb. 50 of those LEDs will give off as much light as a 25W light bulb.
They make 250,000 mcd 0.5W LEDs, now. You might consider using those.
