Where can I buy a small low powered solar power for my summer home, so I can put the lights inside and boil a pot from time to time. I paint there, and the winter light need.
There are four elements basis for all photovoltaic (solar) system. 1. collection PV cell (solar panel) 2. Charge Controller 3. UPS 4. storage system Mass Power (Collection of batteries connected in series and in parallel to provide the right combination of voltage and amps to the inverter) When you think the four basic components, you can see why this is not the most economical method possible. Now, your needs, you should start with 1 or 2 according to the frequency of use during your peak hour 60Watt (21 volts peak, size approximately 20 "X44") Panel. You only need one panel, the smallest controller, an inverter 800 watt, and 4 instead of 12 batteries I'll get to the next ... For batteries .. Go with 12 deep cycle marine or golf cart batteries linked in series and parallel (You have to hook electrition a 12V ..) If you decide to follow my advice on the gas stove, you only need 4 batteries. Batteries are about $ 60 a piece at Walmart .. I hope this helps, feel free to e-mail with any questions. as far as your lighting, I would with energy-saving 24W (90W equivalent) light bulbs.
