Is the world going to end sooner than expected and is it our fault?
I just noticed that there were so many natural diasters happening lately in the world. Such as floods QLD, Japanese tsunami, earthquakes and Christchurch etc. Is it our fault? Are we contributing to this? Why not, as humans take all measures? How come no-one ever bothers? Why things are so expensive solar energy if it's so good for the environment?

We would not be here if it were not for CO2, not only is totally inert, it is essential for life. Carbon monoxide is toxic to animal life, but a chemical very natural too. volcanoes and forest fires occur without the help of man, and produce much more CO than us. And once in the atmosphere, the CO oxidizes and becomes CO2, essential to life. Your facts are terribly wrong. Stephen, where the Bible says nothing about the 21st century is the end of the day? He makes predictions, which we interpret to mean in the 21st century, but people in the 18th century has interpreted to mean the 18th century. The fact is that this is not something new. To get to the question, why are not we do something about it? If you have an idea how to stop plate tectonics, I'm sure you could be a billionaire overnight. The recently earthquate Japan was caused by the Pacific plate sliding under Japan by 50 feet. The energy that is involved in unfathomable, it shifted the axis 10 cm of earth! To think we could prevent or cause that is just crazy. This kind of thing does not happen more often than it has in the past. We had a recent rash of events after a realtively slow in the last decade. Look at the news papers 15 years ago (When it really was printed on paper) and you will see that it was not really much different than it is today. Take the return of 200 years and you see another story, but there is a reason for that. If we look back as far as we see certain events on a scale similar, but the events drastically less. It is not that small events that fill today's news does not happen, they certainly did, but it took years for information to travel the world and the events of low importance have not gone into the history books. Things are not very different from what they were in the past, the only change is our technology, which shapes our preception.
