Solar battery chargers repair Economic and environmental sense. Better when you realize that you do not use any electricity network at all to recharge your batteries when you can simply use the power of the sun.

Making your own solar and wind power for less than $ 200

Things you need:

1) AA battery holder
2) Battery Clip 9V (This is connect your battery backup)
3) 8 x 0.5V Solar Cells, 20 to 50 mA in full sun
4) Schottky Diode IN5818

It is a very simple circuit that does not provide regulations. All you have to do is disconnect the batteries when they are recharged.

The Schottky prevents recharge the batteries "from flowing back through the solar cells when no load is present. Schottky diodes have the advantage not undermine too much the power of our solar cells, to maximize the amount that is delivered to the batteries.

If you live in a climate where the sun is a rare treat and it is often covered, you could experiment with a couple of additional cells in series to increase power output.
