Looking kits solar and wind that are under $ 12,000.?
My class is looking for engineering for energy Wind and solar kits to the residency system in the State of Washington. Our budget is $ 12,000. We need a whole kit. And should generate at least 1,000 watts.
A typical home needs a 2000 or 3000 Watt (kW 2 or 3) the solar unit. To feed your toaster will require 1000 Watts. For the power of your dry hair, it should perhaps be from 1500 to 1800 Watts. A microwave could be from 800 to 1500 Watts. If you opt for a 1000 watt system, you may have to walk around with wet hair and cold sandwiches. The price for a complete unit of 2 or 3 kilowatts works approximately $ 20,000 to $ 30,000 installed. Or about $ 10 per watt (or about $ 10,000 for 1000 watts or 1 kW). With discounts utility / buydowns / incentives, you can get the cost down to $ 8 to $ 9 per watt. Thus, you may be able to install a 1000 watt system for $ 12,000, but not sure - It could be close. The warm days have little or no wind blowing or they would be only one day" hot ". Hot day means --- not a fan or no A / C. The budget for $ 12,000 might be to install a 1 kilowatt solar unit, but you have to give up a hair dryer and microwave, oven, dryer. Unless you're in a candlelit dinner with cold sandwiches, a more realistic solution would cost approximately $ 20,000 to $ 30,000 for one kilowatt solar unit 2 or 3, with battery backup.
