Proposed planning demonstration of wireless power transmission

I. INTRODUCTION

In our current electricity generation system that we waste more than half of its resources. In particular, the loss of transmission and distribution are the main concern of the current energy technology. Much of this electricity is wasted during transmission from generating plant to the consumer. The resistance of the wire used in the distribution system mains causes a loss of 26-30% of energy produced. This loss means that our present system of electrical distribution is only 70-74% effective. We must think of the condition of release - to - technology to transmit and distribute electricity. Today, the overall story was changed a lot and there is a tremendous development in all areas. If we do not keep pace with technology development of new energy we have to cope with a trend downward in the development of energy sector. The power transmission without son may be an alternative for the nobles of transmission.

William C. Brown, the authority on wireless energy transmission technology, has loaned this demonstration unit for Texas Space Grant Consortium to show how power can be transferred into the free space by microwaves. A diagram of the demonstration component are below. The main components are a microwave source, a transmitting antenna and a rectifying antenna reception.

Fig.1 Block wireless power transmission

The microwave source consists of a magnetron microwave electronics to control output power. The microwave power output ranges from 50 W to 200 W at 2.45 GHz. A coaxial cable connects the output of the microwave source to a coaxial adapter waveguide. This card is connected to a ferrite circulator which protects the source guide microwave reflected power. The pump is connected a guide section setting to match the impedance of the waveguide to the antenna input impedance.

The waveguide slot antenna consists of 8 sections of waveguide with 8 slots on each section. These 64 homes radiate power uniformly in the space of Rectenna. The antenna waveguide slot is ideal for power transmission because of its effectiveness large aperture (> 95%) and high power handling capability.

A satellite called rectification Rectenna receives transmitted power and converts the microwave power into direct current (DC). Rectenna This demonstration is composed of six rows of dipole dipole antennas which 8 belong to each line. Each line is connected to a rectification circuit that includes low-pass filter and a rectifier. The rectifier diode is a GaAs barrier Schottky is adapted to the impedance of the dipoles by a lowpass filter. 6 rectifier diodes are connected to light bulbs to indicate that power is received. The bulbs also dissipated the received power. This Rectenna has a collection of 25% and the conversion efficiency, but were rectennas Tested with an efficiency above 90% at 2.45 GHz.

II. Available technologies

In this remarkable discovery of wireless "true" and the principles on which transmission and reception, even in the current systems are based, Nikola Tesla tells us that it is indeed the "Father of Radio." The most famous and well known Wardenclyffe Tower (Tesla) was designed and constructed primarily for the wireless transmission of electrical energy, rather than telegraphy [1]. The most popular concept known is Tesla theory in which he was firmly convinced that Wardenclyffe (Fig. 2) would allow the transmission and wireless reception over long distances with negligible loss [2]. In Despite what he had done many high-quality experiences to validate its claim to the possibility of wireless transmission of electricity (Fig.3). But it was unfortunate that affect the people of this century has not been able to recognize his remarkable work differently today, we can transmit electricity wirelessly and allows you to convert our motherland Adobe wonderful full of electricity.

Modern ideas are dominated by power transmission microwave (MPT, Figure 3) called satellite solar power to be built in high Earth orbit to collect sunlight and convert that energy into microwaves and transmitted to a very large antenna on Earth, the microwave would be converted into conventional electric power.

III. Fond MAXIMUM ECONOMY &

Wireless Technologies

3.1 Although founded

An electrical distribution system, based on this method would eliminate the need for capital inefficient costly and intensive grid of cables, towers, and substations. The system would reduce the cost of electricity used by the consumer and rid the landscape of son, cables and transmission towers.

There are areas of the world where the need for electrical energy exists, but there is no method to provide. Africa needs to be able to run the pumps to operate the vast resources of water under the Sahara desert. Rural areas, such as China, need the power needed to put them in the 20th century and equal footing with Western nations. The wireless transmission will solve many of these problems, the electric power can be economically transmitted wirelessly to any terrestrial distance, then there will be no transmission and distribution losses. More efficiency distribution systems and energy sources are needed by developed countries and in developed countries. Regarding new systems, the market for wireless transmission of power is enormous. It has the potential to become a multi-billion dollar per year market.

The increasing demand for electricity in industrialized countries is well documented. If one includes the application of third world countries, driven by their rate of increase in growth, we would expect a faster rise, even in the electricity demand in the near future. These systems can not meet these requirements with 90-94% efficient transmission [3, 8].

High integrity and transmission Low loss: - To transmit

wireless power to any distance without limit. It makes no difference what the distance is. The transmission efficiency can be as high as 96 or 97 percent, and there

virtually no losses.

3.2. Demerits

Biological Impact: - A common criticism of the power system wireless Tesla is on its possible biological effects. Calculation reactive power flow, it was found that the frequency is very low and this frequency is very biologically compatible [3, 8].

3.3.Economic Impact

The concept seems to be expensive initially. The investment cost of the Tesla Tower was $ 150,000 (1905). In terms of theory economy, many countries will benefit from this service. Only individuals, dispersed ground stations will be needed. Just as television and radio, a single receiver of the resonance energy is needed, which can potentially be incorporated into devices, not power cord is necessary! The monthly utility bills of electricity from the old fossil fuels, lossprone delivery services electrified wire mesh will be optional, just like cable television today. In the 21st century "Direct TV" was the rage, that is an exact parallel of electricity Tesla "Live".

IV. Notes additional

Many concepts, research papers, patents are available on the wireless transmission of electricity but the research has been the most implemented in isolation, so it requires a joint collaborative effort to obtain a very useful results on this advanced technology on the transmission of power for the benefit of mankind globally in the future. Whatever the future can bring, the universal application of these principles is fully assured, if it can be long in coming. With the opening of the first power plant, incredulity gives way to wonder, and ingratitude, as never before.

The world is not yet able to realize the potential benefit of God gifted Dr. N. Tesla. People ignored him and his good work. He deserved much better treatment of the magnates of his age, than spending the last 40 years of his life in abject poverty. However, it was too gentleman to keep resentment. Instead, as regards the magnifying transmitter, Tesla wrote in his autobiography, "I am not willing to give individuals petty and jealous of the satisfaction of having thwarted my efforts. These men are for me nothing more than microbes of a nasty disease. My project was delayed by the laws of nature. The world was not prepared. It was too far ahead of time. But the same laws will prevail in the end and make a triumphant success. "[3, 8-9]. If this had not happened, so now we'll be in a wonderful world lots of power using the technology of wireless transmission of electricity.

V. CONCLUSION

The transmission of wireless power is not a theory or a mere possibility, it is now a reality. Electrical energy can be economically transmitted wirelessly to any terrestrial distance. Many researchers have established in numerous observations, experiments and measures, qualitative and quantitative. Dr.N.Tesla is the pioneer of this invention. Wireless transmission of electricity has enormous benefits, such as integrity transport at high and low loss (90-97% effective) and can be transmitted to anywhere in the world and eliminate the need a capital inefficient, costly and intensive grid of cables, towers, and substations. The system would reduce the cost of energy electricity used by the consumer and rid the landscape of son, cables and transmission towers. He has significant disadvantages such as power reactive was found insignificant and biologically compatible.
